Ramelton Town Band Regain Ulster Title

Ramelton Town Band were crowned Ulster Senior Miscellaneous Marching Band champions at the Ulster Fleadh in Warrenpoint on Sunday, securing their place at next month’s All-Ireland Fleadh in Belfast.

The Donegal band were the only competitors in this year’s Senior Miscellaneous section, qualifying for Belfast where they will look to challenge for All-Ireland honours.

The victory marks Ramelton’s third Ulster Senior Miscellaneous title since 2010 and their first provincial success since 2018.

The band reformed in October and marked their comeback with the senior Miscellaneous title at this year’s Donegal Fleadh — their first competition success in six years.

The last time they were at Ulster Fleadh they placed second to Donegal Town Band but that year they went on to win the All Ireland title.

Attention now turns to Belfast, where the band will compete at the All-Ireland Fleadh next month.
