This Sunday at 2 PM in Wexford, the Senior Accordion All-Ireland Fleadh will reignite an old rivalry as K&S Accordion Band faces off against Killybegs for the first time since their clash in 2009. In that encounter, K&S triumphed over Killybegs in the Junior Accordion category in Tullamore.
K&S is now on the hunt for their 15th All-Ireland title, having solidified their dominance with three consecutive Junior titles before successfully transitioning to the Senior ranks. Last year, they claimed their second-ever Senior title.
Meanwhile, Killybegs, fresh off their first-ever Ulster title victory a few weeks ago, are aiming to make history by capturing their inaugural All-Ireland title. Their recent success in Ulster has fueled their ambition, and they are eager to avenge their 2009 loss to K&S on the biggest stage.
With K&S looking to extend their legacy and Killybegs striving to claim their first All-Ireland title, the competition promises to be fierce and unforgettable.
Fans of Irish traditional music won’t want to miss this epic showdown as these two bands go head-to-head once again, each determined to make their mark on the All-Ireland Fleadh.
