It was confirmed to night that next years Ulster Fleadh will be held in Castlewellan once again hosted by Newcastle CCE.
In 2018 Castlewellan hosted the event with 25,000 visitors expected to have taken advantage of the seeing best musical talent in the country.
It took place from July 23 to 30, building on the success of Ulster Fleadh 2017 in the seaside town of Bangor. More than 200 Comhaltas Ceoltoirí Eireann volunteers worked hard to put together another stellar line up of activities and concerts, which will generated an estimated £2.25m for the local economy.
With around 6,000 competitors of all ages involved, the Ulster Fleadh is a unique family friendly experience offering something for everyone, bringing the community together to celebrate music, song, dance and language
Featuring music competitions and concerts across a wide range of instruments and ages, cultural activities and legendary traditional music headline acts, the festival is an event not to be missed in 2019.
