History was made at Arklow Football Club on Saturday the 21st of July for the first time in 30 years history of the IMBA championships. The All Ireland Marching Band Championships had two Champions which were crowned at this prestigious event.<\/p>\n

Organisers were pleased to welcome Revolution Show Corps from England who participated within the competition. They also joined local groups in the evening performing at the Drum Corps Rocks in the centre of Arklow.<\/p>\n

The event was hosted by Inbhear Mor Performance Ensemble is in association with the Irish Marching Bands Association which formed part of the annual Arklow Seabreeze Summer Festival.<\/p>\n

Each band put amazing displays and showed their hard work from all year had paid off. In the premier class Revolution Show Corps from England put on an outstanding show which was welcomed with rapturous applause from the spectators. the The joint champions couldn’t be separated, their routines and standard of music were second to none and easily outclassed any other competitors of the day. It’s really such an amazing achievement to win thr prestigious\u00a0 All Ireland Marching Band Championship title.\u00a0Both competitive units proceeded on to the\u00a0Drum Corps Europe (official)<\/a>Championships which took place in Kerkrade, Holland on September 29th.<\/p>\n

\nFollowing the competition on Saturday afternoon, over 100 musicians and dancers assembled on Main Street for \u201cDrum Corps Rocks the Town\u201d which proved a HUGE hit with the Arklow audiences.<\/p>\n

The Irish Marching Bands Association also have celebrating to do themselves announcing their 30th Anniversary Celebrations for Sunday the 11th of November at the Maldron Hotel ,Tallaght, Dublin.
