Killybegs, County Donegal – St Catherine’s Band from Killybegs have added a second Senior Accordion All-Ireland title to their record at this year’s Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.

Competing as the only band in the Senior Accordion section, St Catherine’s nonetheless delivered a solid and spirited performance that demonstrated their continued commitment to high standards. Their upbeat arrangement of tunes kept the audience entertained throughout, while the majorettes added a polished visual element with coordinated and crisp movements.

Although without competition in the section this year, the band’s focus remained on presenting a confident, well-rehearsed routine reflective of their dedication and teamwork. The performance showcased the musical skill and precision that have become synonymous with St Catherine’s over the years.

This achievement marks their second Senior Accordion All-Ireland title, further establishing the band’s reputation within the marching band community. The win was celebrated warmly in Killybegs, where the band enjoys strong support and plays an important role in local cultural life.
