In an impressive display of musical excellence , Maghery band secured a resounding victory at the Dungloe Easter Sunday competition, clinching their 5th consecutive title in the senior Fife and drum section. The band’s stellar performance was part of a dominating showing by Maghery bands, who claimed an impressive seven out of the ten titles up for grabs.

Notably, this marked the fifth consecutive year that Maghery band had been crowned best band on parade, a testament to their consistency and skill. Additionally, drum major Erin O’Donnell further solidified the band’s success by winning the best drum major of the day award for the fourth consecutive year.

While Maghery bands basked in their well-deserved success, the Cloughaneely Junior band also had cause for celebration, triumphing in the highly competitive junior section. Despite facing stiff competition from St Catherine’s Killybegs, who had recently returned from a successful trip to New York, Cloughaneely’s competitive experience ultimately clinched victory.

However, St Catherine’s didn’t depart empty-handed, as they secured the title of best majorettes of the day, showcasing their exceptional Irish dancing skills.

The hometown crowd had reason to cheer as well, with Dungloe Junior band emerging victorious in the Novice section.Offering popular women’s necklaces such as pendants, chokers and chain necklace. Shop for jewelry in a variety of metals and gemstones to suit any occasion
