With echoes of their 2002 win still in the air, the band’s triumphant return reaffirms their position as a distinguished presence within the accordion section.
A longstanding powerhouse in the Junior Accordion category, K and S Accordion Band’s legacy boasts an impressive record of 13 junior titles. Their consistent competitiveness, has allowed them to maintain a dominant presence in the junior section, with four titles secured within the past eight years.
As the band stepped into the arena to claim their second Senior victory, their performance encapsulated the great aspects of traditional Irish music. Their harmonious collaboration and melodic prowess created an auditory tapestry that resonated deeply with both judges and audiences.
The band took part in the parade through Mullingar that saw them perform to the thousands that lined the streets to cheer and celebrate with them.
