This year’s Senior Miscellaneous winners came as a shock after the performances. The band came second in Ulster this year but managed to beat the Ulster Champions and last year’s all Ireland winners yesterday in a major comeback.
This band has suffered heartache at the last two all Ireland’s finishing second in both. But yesterday they redeemed themselves by winning a first All Ireland in three years.
The band then made their way through Drogheda to packed streets of spectators.
