Musicians across Ulster are preparing for a busy summer as the Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann 2019 County Fleadhanna get into full swing.

This weekend sees the final county Fleadh in Tyrone. It presents excellent opportunities for musicians of all ages to participate and showcase their unique musical talent whilst each County has a colourful itinerary that will be enjoyable for visitors far and wide.

Omagh town will be the proud to host of the annual Tyrone Fleadh finishing on the 30th June 2019. It will be a weekend a filled with open music sessions, concerts and competitions for locals and visitors far and wide.

The final day sees a huge Fleadh Parade with 10 marching bands participating commencing at 5;30pm. Theres also two competitors in the marching band competitions, one in the flute section and one in pipes.

Friday 28 June 2019 
7 pm – Official Opening of the Fleadh @ Strule Arts Centre with Artie Mc Glynn, Nollaig Tracey and friends. MC by Lynette Fay. Free event.
9pm – Session in various pubs throughout the town. Free event.

Saturday 29 June 2019
10am – 5pm – Competitions @ Christian Brothers School, Omagh.
2pm – 8pm – Street Music Entertainment @ Strule Arts Centre. Free event.
9pm – Fir Ceili @ St Joseph’s Hall. Music by McGlone Brothers.
5pm – late – Session in various pubs throughout the town. Free event.

Sunday 30 June 2019 
9am – Fleadh Mass @ Sacred Heart Chapel. Music by Omagh Comhaltas Members.
10am – 5pm – Competitions @ Christian Brothers School, Omagh
5.30pm – 6.30 pm Fleadh Cultural Parade on Omagh Main Street. 10 marching bands, vintage rally, floats etc. Tune in the Street @ 6pm “Mountains of Pomeroy”. Free event.
2pm – 8pm – Street Music Entertainment @ Strule Arts Centre. Free event.
5pm – late – Session in various pubs throughout the town. Free event.
