This year K and S Accordion Band, Meath returned to the Fleadh competitions for the first time since 2015 and they had a largely successful year. They won the Meath Fleadh then the Leinster Fleadh qualifying them for the All Ireland Fleadh in Drogheda.
Last Sunday they competed at the All Ireland Fleadh and were crowned Junior Accordion All Ireland Champions 2018. This was a huge achievement for the band and they performed outstandingly on the day.
After the competition they took part in the parade which made its way to the town centre to greet thousands of spectators. 
In a statement released by the band they said “Huge congratulations and well done to all our band members, teachers, and committee. Thanks as always to our parents and supporters who came out in force yesterday.”
